Breezeway 4: insulation and subfloor

On Friday, I came home to a work in progress - they had laid insulation in between all the floor framing and were in the process of nailing down a plywood subfloor. I was glad I came home when I did to see that the floor had been insulated, since now it is completely covered with boards.
This week on the agenda - drywall! And so our brick on the garage wall is totally insulated in preparation:
As is the ceiling:
The electrician came back to run an ethernet cable that he had forgotten last time:
And after discussing our future room design plans with our designer, some more wood framing was added to the wall. We intend to hang shelving here and so to make it easier, he added these extra frames for us to drill into - basically, custom studs for our shelves so that we can screw them all in to wood instead of drywall. This is super exciting - customer structure behind the walls! We definitely have to load up the shelves with heavy things!
Here's the view from the back, with the porch doors re-added and some of the design work on the very edges. Crazy to think that in a few days, we will have painted walls and ceiling in here!
